The post mortem examination on the body of a 23-year-old Waterford man who died over the weekend has concluded.

The man has been named locally as Stephen Carbery who was from the city.

Gardaí say his death is not been treated as suspicious but they have arrested two people in connection with the house party at which Mr Carbery's body was found.

Toxicology tests are taking place on his body at the moment and the results should be known later in the week.

Gardaí were not able to say whether drugs were a contributory factor in Mr Carbery's death.

The man was found dead in a house in the Shortcourse area of Waterford.

Dr Michael Curtis from the State Pathologist's Office is conducted the post mortem at Waterford Regional Hospital.

Gardaí are investigating if drugs may have been a contributing factor in the man's death.
