A man and a woman are still being questioned in Co Westmeath as part of an investigation into ATM fraud.
The pair were arrested after gardaí found them interfering with an ATM machine outside a bank in Church Street in Athlone on Friday night.
In a follow up search, gardaí found equipment used to alter and interfere with ATMs here and abroad.
It is understood the items include mini-camera devices and bluetooth technology used to illegally record personal information and allow access to bank accounts.
