A man has appeared at Limerick District Court charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found at a hotel in the city.
Jerry McGrath, 23, of Ballywalter in Knockavilla, Co Tipperary, was charged with murdering 33-year-old Silvia Roche Kelly at the Clarion Hotel on 8 December.
He made no reply when charged.
Mr McGrath was granted free legal aid, and remanded in custody to appear at Limerick District Court on 19 December.
While a post mortem proved inconclusive, investigating gardaí believe Ms Roche Kelly was the victim of an assault.
She was originally from Coonagh, outside Limerick and was buried in Sixmilebridge in Co Clare yesterday afternoon.
