A murder inquiry is under way in Waterford following the death of a man in the city.
The man, who was in his 20s, was found dead in a house in Waterford city.
The discovery was made around 5pm this evening following reports of a row in the house, which is situated in Lower Grange in the city.
Initial reports indicate the man was not living in the house and may have received a number of stab wounds.
The house and the area surrounding it has now been sealed off.
The state pathologist's office has been contacted and members of the garda technical bureau will examine the scene in the morning.
A full post mortem examination will take place at Waterford Regional hospital tomorrow morning.
