Three men are being sought following the theft of goods worth around €250,000 from a warehouse on the outskirts of Cork city.
Lap-top computers, perfumes and Canterbury clothing were taken in the raid which happened between 3am and 5am this morning at a warehouse operated by a courier company in Glanmire.
Four staff members were tied up during the raid and although uninjured, they are said to be extremely shocked.
Gardaí cannot say at this stage if the raiders were armed.
The men may have spent more than half an hour at the warehouse before making their getaway.
The raiders escaped in two vehicles, a two-tone gold and red Isuzu Trooper registration number 89-C-17846 and a white Scania rigid truck registration number 98-D-73143.
Gardaí in Cobh are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing these vehicles, or to anybody who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area this morning.
