The PSNI is investigating an incident early this morning in which two cars were burned out and another was damaged.
Police and the fire service were called to Jerusalem Street in the university area at around 3.30am.
One man, believed to be in his 30s, was arrested and there were no reports of any injuries.
Earlier police had been called to the same street at around 10.30pm after 11 cars were vandalised.
