Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Athlone town in the early hours of this morning.
A woman was attacked on the Dublin Road at Bona Valley Bridge. Gardaí have confirmed that it is the second attack in the area recently.
Gardaí have asked anyone who was in the area between 3am and 5am to contact them in Athlone on 090 6492609 or on the Garda confidential line of 1800 666 111.
