Sinn Féin have claimed that Loyalists have been threatening three of their members in Co Fermanagh.
The party said the members had been sent bullets in a package, while other republicans were also warned as part of an intimidation campaign in Lisnaskea.
Police confirmed they were investigating the threats after a brick was thrown through a window of Sinn Féin offices badly damaged by a fire earlier this month.
A note on it named three party members, including elected representatives.
The threat, from a group claiming to represent loyalists against the pan-nationalist front, also named others for ‘previous incidents’ years ago.
Sinn Féin Fermanagh Councillor Thomas O'Reilly urged unionist representatives and clergymen to help stop the menace.
He said: ‘This is obviously very worrying. Less than two weeks ago the offices in Lisnaskea were badly damaged in a fire and now there is this threat against three named individuals and the wider nationalist republican community in this area.
‘There is a clear responsibility on local politicians, community and church leaders to use their influence within the unionist/loyalist community to come out against all sectarian threats or attacks.’
A PSNI spokesman confirmed officers had been alerted.
