An investigation by BBC Northern Ireland has uncovered an illegal dog fighting ring linked to international dog fighting organisations.
The BBC Spotlight programme, to be broadcast this evening, uncovered 15 gangs, five of which are operating in Belfast.
The programme alleges that a leading Ulster GAA player has been involved in arranging the fights.
The investigation also led the Spotlight team to Finland where it uncovered an international dog fighting ring and discovered how illegal pitbulls are transported from Europe into Northern Ireland.
