A 27-year-old man has been charged this evening in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Cork yesterday morning.
He will appear before Cork District Court tomorrow morning.
Gardaí had earlier upgraded to a murder inquiry the investigation into the death of 24-year-old Brian McKee in Mahon.
A post mortem carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist, Michael Curtis, revealed the father of two died from stab wounds.
A second man was today arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing.
The 24-year-old, who is also from Cork, was arrested in the Mayfield area of the city at 4.30 this morning.
He was taken to the Bridewell Garda station where he is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
