A 37-year-old man has been arrested in Limerick following a shooting incident in the city last night.
A number of shots were fired and an unmarked garda car was damaged in the incident.
The shooting occurred in the O'Malley park area of the city at about 9pm last night. The garda car was on a routine patrol in the area at the time.
The 37-year-old man is being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station as the garda car undergoes technical examination.
No person was injured in the incident.
