Two separate murder enquiries have been launched by police in Co Derry.

The body of a 40-year-old man was discovered at 5am this morning at a house in Magherafelt. The PSNI say two men are being questioned.

Earlier, a 19-year-old man died during a row in the Creggan area of Derry city.

The PSNI says the man suffered severe head injuries during a confrontation at Rinmore Drive at around 2.30am this morning.

The victim, who has been named as Liam Devlin of Burnfoot, Co Donegal, died from his injuries in the Altnagelvin Hospital a short time later.

Police say two men are in custody assisting with their enquiries.
