Gardai have arrested a man and a woman in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old youth in Dunboyne in Co Meath in the early hours of this morning.
The two, who are both in their twenties, are being held at Clondalkin Garda Station.
The youth was shot in the stomach at the complex at around 1.30am.
It is not clear if the man was the intended target.
It is understood that the man was standing in the hallway when the shot was fired. The victim was the only person in the apartment at the time of the shooting.
He was removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he died shortly after 3.30am.
Gardaí say the victim was from Nigeria and had been renting in the area for a number of months.
No motive for the attack has yet been established.
The victim's family has been notified.
