A 29-year-old man has been charged with murdering a homeless man in Belfast earlier this month.

37-year-old Frazer Joel Souter, who was also known as Joe Souter, was attacked at the Victoria Street and High Street junction in the city centre on 2 July.

He was originally from England and died in hospital eight days after the attack.

The 29-year-old, who has also been charged with affray, will appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning after being arrested in Dunmurry earlier this week.

A second man has been released without charge pending further inquiries.
