A woman has been arrested at Dublin Airport after the seizure of 1.5kg worth of cocaine with an estimated street value of €105,000 earlier today.

The drugs were discovered when officers examined the baggage of a 23-year-old female and her five-year-old son. The woman is the holder of an Irish passport. She had arrived on a flight from Paris having previously travelled from Johannesburg.

The drugs were concealed in three shampoo bottles and consisted of 127 individually wrapped pellets.

The woman was handed over by Revenue's Customs service to the Garda Drug Squad from Coolock. She is due to appear in court later today.
