British police are looking at hundreds of hours of CCTV footage as the search continues for the terrorists who left two car bombs in London's West End yesterday.
US television has reported that police already have what it called a 'crystal clear' image of one suspect leaving the first car at Haymarket, but Scotland Yard has not confirmed this.
Forensic experts are examining both cars and the devices, which failed to detonate.
Police say the two devices were potentially viable and clearly linked; the two cars were packed with enough fuel and explosives to cause major carnage.
The British government's emergency response committee, Cobra, is continuing its investigations.
Meanwhile, security at a number of high-profile events in London this weekend has been reviewed.
These include the Wimbledon tennis championships and tomorrow's Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium.
A Gay Pride parade, in which 500,000 people are expected to line the streets of central London today, is going ahead.
Also today London's Mayor Ken Livinstone said that the city has got to make sure that it continues to bring people together and never gives in to intolerance.
He was speaking close to the area where the two cars, packed with bomb material, were discovered by police yesterday.
