Gardaí investigating the death of a man at a caravan in Co Louth last weekend have released a man they were holding without charge.

The incident occurred at a building site in the Mountain Park area of Carlingford.

The victim, 44-year-old Joseph Hosford of Mountain Park in Carlingford, died from a stab wound.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
