A man and a woman have appeared at the district court in Co Clare charged in connection with a plot to kill two businessmen in Ennis in 2006.
Sharon Collins of Ballybeg House, Kildysart Road, Ennis, and 52-year-old Assam Ied, with an address in Las Vegas, Nevada, were brought before Kilkee District Court this afternoon.
They each face two charges that they conspired with each other to murder Robert and Niall Howard on dates between 16 August and 26 September 2006.
Both were remanded in custody to appear again at the district court next Friday.
Robert and Niall Howard are brothers and involved in a family property business in Ennis.
