Gardaí are conducting door-to-door inquiries in connection with the death of the daughter of pioneering heart surgeon Dr Maurice Neligan and his wife Pat.
The body of 31-year-old nurse Sara Neligan was discovered in an apartment on Pearse Street in south central Dublin last night.
Gardaí are continuing to question a 25-year-old man in connection with her death.
Sara Neligan was the fourth eldest in a family of seven and lived at the address where her body was found.
Her body was removed to the city morgue where State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy carried out a post mortem examination.
A statement issued on behalf of the family said the family was devastated at the news of the death and appealed for privacy.
