Six people have been found shot dead in a resort community in the midwestern US state of Wisconsin.
The find was made inside a home in Delavan, a town near Lake Geneva, a close-knit resort community of about 8,000 people not far from Milwaukee.
Police found all six bodies inside the home and one young girl, described as between two and three years old, was discovered alive outside.
The girl was taken to a local hospital and was in said to be in a very critical condition.
Police appear to be treating the case as a possible murder-suicide.
Media quoted local police chief Timothy O'Neill as saying 'We have reason to believe the neighborhood is safe. There is not a suspect at large.'
