Valentia Coast Guard say two people rescued from a yacht that had been drifting in the Atlantic for the last fortnight are in good health despite their ordeal.
Steve Davis from England and his wife, Maria, who is from France, drifted for two weeks without power and with dwindling supplies.
Their yacht had been on its way to Britain from the West Indies when it got into difficulties as a result of bad weather.
The 38-foot hulled yacht capsized in a mid-Atlantic storm, north of the Azores.
A rescue effort to bring the man and woman onto land was launched yesterday morning after the vessel was located by chance off the Kerry coast during a routine Irish Air Corps coastal patrol.
The yacht was towed by an Irish lifeboat to Valentia in Co Kerry.
The couple have paid tribute to their Irish rescuers.
