A 27-year-old man who was stabbed in Swords in the early hours of this morning has died.
The incident happened at Oaklands Avenue, Swords, at around 3.10am. The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
He died shortly before 10pm tonight. The dead man is a Latvian national.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
The men aged 24 and 19 are being held at Swords and Malahide Garda Stations.
The dead man will not be named until all relatives are notified.
That incident was one of three stabbing in Dublin in the past 24-hours
A 16-year-old boy who was being questioned about a stabbing in Dun Laoghaire was released by Gardaí this evening.
A youth was injured in that attack, which happened in an estate on Pottery Road at around 4.30am.
Meanwhile, shortly after 4am, two men were stabbed during a row that broke out on Tubber Lane in Lucan.
Both men were taken to hospital but their injuries are thought not to be life threatening.
