Gardaí investigating a shooting in Limerick last night say the incident is linked to an ongoing feud in the Moyross area.
An 18-year-old wounded in the attack is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
The shooting happened in Pineview Gardens, Moyross shortly before 9pm.
The victim was in a car when three shots were fired at him.
The female driver of the car escaped injury.
A technical examination at the scene of the shooting is now completed. The vehicle involved was also removed for technical examination.
Gardaí from Mayorstone Park Garda Station are investigating.
Gardaí say the shooting is part of a long-running feud in Moyross which has claimed two lives in the past 12 months.
In May last year 19-year-old Aidan Kelly from College Avenue, Moyross, was shot dead at Blackwater, Ard na Crusha in Co Clare.
Earlier this year 34-year-old Noel Campion was ambushed in broad daylight by gunmen while travelling as a pillion passenger in the Thomondgate area of the Limerick city.
Meanwhile, at least one shot was fired at the front door of a house on Moorefield Avenue in Clondalkin at 12:30am.
Gardaí believe a shot gun was used in the attack.
Two people, a man and a woman both in their early 20s, were in the house at the time.
Neither was injured in the incident.
The scene was sealed off and a technical examination conducted this morning.
Gardaí have conducted house to house inquiries and say that their investigation in the incident is ongoing.
