A suspicious device found by gardaí during a planned search of a house in north Dublin proved to be a hoax.
The army bomb disposal squad attended the scene on Mount Olive Road, in Kilbarrack.
The Defence Forces said that the team x-rayed the object, and it turned out to be no more than two pieces of metal taped together.
Gardaí called in the bomb disposal team after coming across the device shortly before 9am this morning.
