Six people have been killed and at least 80 wounded in a bomb blast in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The blast occurred during rush hour at the Anafartalar shopping centre in the city.
The explosion, one of the worst in the capital in recent years, comes amid heightened political tension in Turkey.
Turkey's Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, earlier described the blast as a 'terrorist attack.'
He has called a national election ahead of schedule to resolve a dispute involving secularists and Islamists over a recent presidential candidate
The secular establishment, including the military, judiciary and opposition parties, recently derailed the government's plan to elect Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul as president, fearing he might weaken the official separation of religion and state.
While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast, Kurdish separatists, leftist militants and hardline Islamists have all launched bomb attacks in Turkey in the past.
