A 27-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital following a knife attack in south Dublin.
The attack happened at Lourdes Road in Rialto at around 3am this morning.
It is understood the victim was stabbed a number of times.
The woman has undergone surgery and is in a critical condition in hospital.
Detectives are still trying to identify a motive and have appealed for information.
