Gardaí in Drogheda have seized a handgun and drugs with an estimated street value of up to €80,000.
Around 8,000 ecstasy tablets and 1kg of herbal cannabis were seized during a planned search at premises in the Mell area of the Co Louth town yesterday afternoon.
Two men, aged 21 and 29, have been arrested and are being detained at Drogheda Garda Station.
