Belfast - Shots fired at pub

A 29-year-old man was due to appear in court in Belfast today in connection with a shooting incident at a city centre bar last week.

He is charged with making threats to kill and possessing ammunition.

A number of shots were fired at the door of Fibber Magee's in Blackstaff Square in the early hours of Friday morning.

It is understood a man was refused entry to the pub at about 12.30am and then made a threatening gesture to the doorman, implying that he would come back and shoot him.

Three shots were later fired.

No one was injured during the attack.
