Police in Portugal looking for the missing three-year-old British girl, Madeleine McCann, are continuing their investigations.
They are investigating a claim that a balding man was seen dragging a small child towards a marina a short drive from the resort where she and her family were staying.
Detectives have found evidence that Madeleine was abducted from the family's holiday apartment in the seaside village of Praia da Luz on the Algarve on Thursday night.
Today the mother of the missing appealed to whoever is holding her daughter not to hurt her.
Police have widened their search to 15km from the Algarve village of Praia da Luz.
