Gardaí have confirmed that a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions on the death of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in Co Kilkenny last November.
The body of Ciara Gibbs was found on 26 November at her house between Gowran and Paulstown.
Shortly before 10am, her father and brother returned home after being away for the night in Co Tipperary.
They found her dead and attempts to resuscitate her failed.
The teenager's mother was found in a collapsed state in an upstairs bedroom in the house.
