Gardaí have confirmed they are treating the death of 30-year-old James Brazier in Killarney, Co Kerry, as murder.
Mr Brazier was a native of the town but had lived in England for many years.
He was found at a house in the Pinewood Estate after 2am yesterday morning.
He was taken to hospital in Tralee, where he died just before 5am yesterday morning.
A post mortem examination was carried out on Mr Brazier's body and the scene was preserved for technical examination.
