Dublin Docklands - New tower to be built

The Dublin Docklands Authority has granted planning permission for a 120m tower as part of a redevelopment of the area around the Point Depot.

The new building will be topped by a 930sq.m multi-storey bar and restaurant, along with a viewing deck, office space and luxury apartments.

Under planning laws, the development does not have to go to An Bord Pleanála.

The Point Village will cover a five hectare site surrounding the Point Theatre and include a shopping centre, offices, hotel, a 12 screen multiplex cinema and a Luas station.
