An investigation is underway at Bandon in west Cork after an arson attack on the local garda station.
A man walked into the public office of the station at 11pm last night with what is believed to have been a petrol bomb.
The fire was quickly extinguished by gardaí, but there was smoke damage to the floor and walls.
A member of the public who had been in the foyer was treated in hospital as a precaution.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
