A Co Wicklow man who sexually assaulted a young boy over a number of years has been remanded in custody for sentence at the Central Criminal Court.

The 30-year-old man pleaded guilty to 14 charges of sexual assault on dates in 2001 and 2002 at various venues in Ireland and abroad.

Mr Justice Paul Carney directed that he be registered as a sex offender and that a victim impact statement should be prepared for the sentence hearing.
