Four men questioned by the PSNI in Co Down over the robbery of two elderly brothers at their home near Ballynahinch on Thursday night have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Masked men broke down the back door of the house at Crawfordstown Road in Drumaness.
Bill Killen, 89, said they threatened him with a gun and said they would kneecap him. The raiders also hit his brother, Thomas, 82, on the head with a bat.
The gang ransacked the house before making off with a sum of cash. The robbers cut the phone wires, but a neighbour heard the commotion and called the police.
Both brothers were badly shaken by the ordeal.
