Over 600 people turned out to support a Shell to Sea protest in Dublin against the construction of the Corrib gas pipeline and terminal in Co Mayo.
The campaign is calling for the €900 million project to be constructed offshore.
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions today supported the campaign's call to end the deal which allows Shell to write off tax against the cost of development.
Shell has said the practice is common to all industries.
70 gardaí were in attendance as the protest ran from the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square down O'Connell Street before breaking up outside the GPO at 4.15pm.
