Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an inmate at the training unit in Mountjoy Prison in Dublin this morning.
The 35-year-old man, who was due for release today, was serving an eight-year sentence for drug offences.
It is understood that he died from natural causes.
However a post mortem will be carried out.
