A woman in her late 30s is being questioned by gardaí in connection with the murder of a man in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
The body of the 34-year-old man, who has been named locally as Declan Molloy, was discovered in a first-floor flat in Mitchell Street after gardaí were alerted by a woman who arrived at the garda station in a distressed state.
It is understood Mr Molloy had been stabbed and he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 3am.
The garda technical bureau carried out a forensic examination this afternoon and Mr Molloy's body was then removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.
Deputy state pathologist Michael Curtis will carry out a full post mortem examination on the body this evening.
The woman is still being questioned at Clonmel Garda Station.
