A Detective Sergeant who was dismissed from the gardaí has been given permission by the High Court to challenge findings made against him at the Morris Tribunal.
John White is challenging the findings made by the tribunal in its report of an arson attack on a mobile phone mast in Co Donegal.
The challenge includes a finding that it was Detective Sergeant White who caused a device to be placed on the mast.
The court was told he may seek permission later to challenge two other reports of the tribunal.
