Gardaí in Ashbourne are investigating a robbery on the Bank of Ireland in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, shortly before 3pm today.
Two people entered the bank wearing motorcycle helmets. One was armed with a shotgun and the other was armed with a knife.
The two threatened staff and customers before making their escape, with an undisclosed amount of cash, on a motorcycle.
The motorcycle was later found a short distance away in College Park, Dunshaughlin, where they are believed to have transferred to a green Toyota car.
One culprit is described as being 1.68m tall with a thin face. He spoke with a Dublin accent.
There is no description of the other person.
