Gardaí investigating the murder of a man in Dublin last night are appealing for witnesses.
A 28-year-old man was shot in the head in a house on Oriel Street Upper, off Sherriff Street, shortly after midnight.
He has been named locally as Stephen Ledden.
It is understood there were a number of people in the house at the time of the shooting, but the attacker may have entered through an unlocked door.
Gardaí believe the shooting may be linked to a gang-related killing in the city earlier this month.
