The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission has said it wants to be allowed to investigate allegations of human rights abuses involving MI5 and MI6 in Northern Ireland.

The Justice and Security Bill, which is currently before Westminster, exempts the intelligence services from being investigated by the commission.

The Chief Commissioner, Monica McWilliams, said the bill in its current form dilutes her powers.
