Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a shooting on the northside of the city tonight.
A man was shot on Coberg Place off Amien Street in the north inner city just after 8.00pm this evening.
He was hit in the chest and was taken to the Mater Hospital
where is in a serious condition.
The gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
There are also reports of shots being fired at Annamoe Parade off the New Cabra Road in Phibsboro.
When gardaí arrived, they found blood stains and bullet casings on the street.
