A woman in her 20s - arrested following the death of a man in Galway City - is to appear in Galway District Court tomorrow charged with assault.
The body of John Malone, aged 42, was found at an apartment in the city early today. He had been stabbed.
The results of a post mortem examination of his body are expected to be completed tomorrow.
A man in his 30s who was also arrested was released without charge.
A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
