Five-year-old boy shot in Co Limerick

A five-year-old boy has been shot and injured in Co Limerick.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm last night when shots were fired at a group of individuals outside a house in O'Malley Park in Southill.

The boy was shot in the thigh and taken to hospital.

His injuries are not believed at this stage to be life threatening.
