A diving company has been fined more than €25,000 and its director €20,000 for breaches in health and safety regulations relating to the death of a diver.
North East Diving Services Ltd and one of its directors, Nigel Hoblyn, pleaded guilty to two charges in each case brought by the Health and Safety Authority.
24-year-old Damien Byrne died in 2004 in Dublin Bay while diving with the company.
