Applications by the State to drop charges of unlawful carnal knowledge against the man in the C case, and five other men, have been granted by Judge McMahon in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Earlier this year, Mr C successfully challenged the constitutionality of statutory rape legislation dating from 1935.
All six men have since been re-arrested and charged with new offences of sexual assault following this morning's decision.
Three of the men appeared in court this morning, while a further three were charged this afternoon.
All have been granted bail and are to be sent forward for trial at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
