An 18-year-old man has been found not guilty of murder but guilty of the manslaughter of a 20-year-old man near the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Clondalkin in September 2005.
Kevin Walsh from Allenton Green in Tallaght had denied the murder of James Burke.
The victim's body lay for two days in a field near the car park of the shopping centre following a row on 23 September 2005.
The trial, which lasted almost three weeks, heard that Kevin Walsh was in the extremely low range of intelligence.
The jury of five women and seven men returned a verdict following two and a half hours of deliberations.
Trial judge Justice Philip O'Sullivan set 4 December as the sentencing date.
