Body of Meg Walsh recovered in Waterford

Gardaí have confirmed that the body recovered from the River Suir in Waterford City this evening is that of missing Waterford woman Meg Walsh.

The body was spotted floating in the river just after 3pm and was later recovered near the Clock Tower.

Ms Walsh's body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem by State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy.

Meg Walsh, 35, went missing in the Ballinakill area of Waterford on 1 October.
