Householders in the village of Ballivor, Co Meath, have been urged to boil any drinking water as a result of a potential contamination.
Meath County Council issued a notice today after routine testing by the Health Service Executive revealed the possible contamination.
The council said they would tanker water to the village to provide drinking water.
The results of the second test of the supply are expected around midday tomorrow.
